studio shot of new White Stone studio, Summer 2021

STUDIO RELOCATION 2021

After 36 years of living and working in wonderful Brooklyn, NY, this spring I relocated my home and studio to the Northern Neck of Virginia, in the town of White Stone.

I’m surrounded by huge trees, abundant wildlife of all sorts - birds, frogs, butterflies, moths, bugs, deer, foxes. My new home and studio is nestled between a ravine and a swamp, just minutes from the amazing Rappahannock River and the Chesapeake Bay. What a change! I’m looking forward to experiencing this new environment and reconnecting with my home state of Virginia.

Opening reception November 1st 5-8pm

The term Gothic sends shivers down the spine. It never goes out of style and lives in the eternal moment of human dread—existential fear, wrought by the artist into a thing of beauty. LCAG will present an exhibition inspired by the original neo-Gothic buildings of Lehman College, with both a central exhibition in the gallery and site-specific work in two of the adjoining Gothic buildings. It will include more than 2-dozen established, mid-career, and emerging artists working in elements drawn from different ideas about the gothic. Artists to date: Alison Collins, Enrique Gomez De Molina, Donna Diamond, Douglas Gordon, Loris Greaud, Jeanne Heifetz, Heidi Lau, Lisa Lebofsky, Travis Louis, Adriana Marmorek, Rachel Mason, Martha McDonald, Isabelle Menin, Judith Schaechter, Holly Sears, Rachel Stern, and Jason Weller.
